A classic renovation with superelevation and construction of a habitable attic became the perfect opportunity to unhinge and overturn the concepts of living and functionality. The intervention was an ideal opportunity for the designer to experiment; on the other hand, the client, a single, dynamic and sporty man, offered the perfect support, encouraging and sharing the architect’s aesthetic proposals, thus resulting in a highly original distribution.

On the first floor, contrary the classical canon, the architect Bruno placed the kitchen, thus making an entire floor dedicated to the operational part of the house: a wonderful attic kitchen overlooking a terrace with a breathtaking view. The choice of so clearly detaching the kitchen from the living room strongly reflects the dynamism of the client, as well as the choice of dark and material finishes, exposed concrete, iron and wood and more. We also can find, load-bearing iron structures and systems effectively put in prominence, such as the pipes of the air conditioning system.

Ballarini Interni accompanied this restructuring with a precise cut, not only in the supply of furnishings but also in the creation of tailor-made pieces, expertly worked and with refined finishes. Every single detail in this house is carefully studied, from the backlit iron wall in the bathroom to the hybrid iron and wood staircase, which naturally transforms, in its continuation, into a desk integrated into the wall.

Ballarini Interni, as always, supplied prestigious Made in Italy brands, such as the Arclinea kitchen, the unmistakable Rimadesio style of the walk-in closet and bookcase, the comfort and elegance typical of Baxter sofas. Architect Bruno relied on Ballarini interiors, a perfect combination for an intervention with a timeless industrial-chic style and elegance. The result of the collaboration between the architect Bruno and Ballarini interior designers was therefore a perfect combination of timeless industrial-chic style and elegance.
