The idea of weightlessness is what guided Piero Lissoni in creating this outdoor collection.

These first days of warmth are bringing back the desire to be outdoors. To take care of the home garden and to organize moments of conviviality with our families. But being outdoors does not mean having to give up style, comfort and luxury. With the 2021 Borea collection, designed by Piero Lissoni, B&B Italia provides you with a series of furnishings capable of setting up a luxury outdoor setting. Sustainability and charm are the distinctive features of this new collection.

The collection of tables and chairs come from the idea of ​​”an airplane”. The structure, made of tubular painted aluminum, takes up the techniques of aeronautical processing, meaning they have no joints and interruptions. The result is that of a very light and resistant structure, with captivating and unique shapes.

The padding of the seats, that present an “exaggerated” design, are soft, comfortable and welcoming. They invite you to relax and enjoy all that is beautiful around you.

Borea is a collection that cares about sustainability. It is made of recycled and recyclable materials and all furnishings can be disassembled so at the end of the life cycle, each single element can be disassembled and disposed of. In addition to aluminum, a 100% recyclable material, the padding is made of polyester fiber, coming from the recycling of plastic bottles.

Piero Lissoni

Architect and designer, Piero Lissoni graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano. In 1986 he founded the Lissoni Associati studio (together with Nicoletta Canesi), a multidisciplinary reality that nowadays boasts offices in Milan and New York. The studio develops international architecture, interior, product design and graphic design projects. Marked by rigor and simplicity, its work is characterized by attention to detail, coherence, elegance and a particular attention to proportions and harmony. Recognized among the masters of contemporary design, Piero Lissoni is the creative director of many international companies, including B&B Italia.
